In-Ground Spa
An in-ground Spa is a type of hot tub that is built in the ground, like with a swimming pool. They are usually sold as a pool-spa combo, which makes the setup cheaper. Because of the extra installation work they are generally more expensive, because an in-ground spa needs excavation and extensive plumbing work.
It’s common that you need a licence, you can get a building licence at the city hall.
In-Ground spa’s are usually build from concrete, with a nice overlay, so it doesn’t look like it’s unfinished. An In-ground hot tub don’t really has special seating like we see in normal hot tubs. An In-ground hot tub is usually a big hole in the ground with concrete above it, a lot of space and some bubbles.
In-ground spa’s are usually a lot bigger than normal Jacuzzi’s. While normal Jacuzzi’s can seat from 5-8 people, an in-ground spa can easily have 10-15 people in it.
Types Of Jacuzzi
The actual name of a Jacuzzi is a hot tub, but people tend to say Jacuzzi very often. Jacuzzi is actually a brand of Hot Tubs. Many people ask: what types of hot tubs are out there? And what’s the difference between a spa, a hot tub and a jacuzzi?
Whirlpool is used in the same context as Jacuzzi. Both are brands of hot tubs.
A hot tub and a spa are actually the same, salesmen and consumers use both terms for the same thing. But sometimes Spa is used in a different context: a place to relax with lots of Jacuzzi’s, Sauna’s, etc…
A Hot Tub is actually a huge bath made from synthetic material with special underwater chairs for many people. There’s jets at every chair to massage the person sitting in said chair.

Hot tub health
It is true what they say about hot tubs, they are great for your health. Not only do they relief stress massively, but they make your muscles and joints hurt less. When we age it is normal that our muscles become weaker and we feel more pain in our joints. It might even become harder to move. Hot tubs counter this by relaxing your muscles and freeing your joints with the nice and warm water, while sitting in an ergonomic position!
But what’s even more important is that using the hot tub can help fight diseases such as diabetes, arthritis and a cold. It will not heal diabetes but it will help fight the negative impacts of it. The same goes for arthritis. Studies have shown that diabetes patients have to use less amount of insulin to keep their sugar levels stable.
The bubbling water in the hot tub helps massaging the muscles and is great for arthritis patients. The ergonomic seats help relax the body, and the massaging reliefs the pain from aching joints.
Because the body temperature is increased when using a hot tub will triple the amount of white blood cells that fight viruses and bacteria. It is even shown that relaxing in the hot tub helps fighting headaches.
